The superintendent of the North Beach School district has announced he is resigning. Andy Kelly, who was put on paid leave by a unanimous vote by the school board in mid-March, will leave his position effective June 30th. The Daily World reports that until that date, Kelly will remain on paid leave. Kelly has been the head of the district for the past four years and in a January evaluation by the school board, his contract was extended until 2025. The board has never said why Kelly was put on leave back in March, saying they do not comment on personnel issues. Per a resignation agreement, Kelly will still be paid over $185,000 in installments that will continue until 2023.
