More Details About High Speed Chase In Elma

Rochester man arrested Sunday.

More details about that high-speed chase and arrests by Elma PD on Sunday.  Per a press release from Elma Police Chief Susan Schultz, the Rochester man that was arrested Sunday, allegedly pulled a gun of a convenient store clerk that day.  That suspect led police on a chase and eventually crashed in McCleary.  During the incident an Elma police officer discharged his weapon.  Chief Shultz did not relate any information as to what led to the shots fired incident, only saying no police nor the suspect was injured.  The officer in question is on standard administrative leave while the incident is investigated.  The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department will conduct the investigation.
