The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency will be opening an Emergency Warming Shelter at the Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce in South Bend.
According to a PCEMA press release: The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency will be opening an Emergency Warming Shelter at the Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce (916 West 1st St) at the Corner of Alder and First Street West in South Bend. Shelter intake will be from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The shelter is open to anyone who needs respite from the cold weather. The criteria for emergency warming shelters have not been met for opening a shelter for the Long Beach Peninsula. We are prepared to open a shelter on the Peninsula if either the forecast criteria or observed conditions criteria are met. Transport arrangements can be made by calling PCEMA Director McDougall at 360-214-1046.
