Young Street Bridge Has 3 Options

The city of Aberdeen has narrowed down the options for what to do with the Young Street Bridge down to three options.

The city of Aberdeen has narrowed down the options for what to do with the Young Street Bridge down to three options. Last week city leaders said two of the options involve building a new bridge next to the old one and use the old structure as a viewing platform. The 2nd option includes rehabbing the old bridge for pedestrians and bike traffic with the new bridge being used for cars. The third option involves building a new bridge for vehicles, bike and pedestrian traffic and repurposing part of the old bridge within the Kurt Cobain Memorial Park. Public comments on these options will be heard at the May 8th City Council meeting.
