PCEMA Addressing A "Long-Term Communications Emergency"

The response includes support for emergency communications, utilities, and public information.

Pacific County Emergency Management is working to address what is being called a long-term communications emergency, expected to last at least six months. Officials say they have activated their Emergency Operations Center, coordinating with state agencies, cellular providers, and local departments to manage the crisis after the commercial antenna tower collapsed on Holy Cross, northwest of Raymond a week ago today. The response includes support for emergency communications, utilities, and public information under the county’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. Read more about the response at the Pacific County Emergency Management Facebook page.
