Drivers and pedestrians are being told to head warning signs in front of the Becker building to stay off the sidewalk. The Daily World reports that the owner was notified of the failed vacant building inspection in early February which also noted cracked windows and part of the seven-story building’s facade is falling off. The signs to stay off the sidewalk and cones in the street are to prevent people from parking or walking too close to the building. The owner was given until the end of March to make necessary repairs, but that timeline has been extended since the contractor did not have the proper insurance to do the work.
