According to the official press release: Starting the week of March 24, the City of Aberdeen will begin repairs to portions of deteriorated concrete streets. The affected areas include Bradford Street near Alden Road and 5th Street between Canyon Court and Elliot Lane. Both segments will be fully closed for approximately three weeks to expedite the removal and replacement of the damaged roadway sections. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate
routes during this time.
In addition, a single-lane closure on the North Aberdeen Bridge will begin on March 24. The southbound lane will be closed for additional geotechnical drilling, with all traffic diverted onto the northbound lane. Minor delays should be expected as both northbound and southbound
traffic will be controlled by flaggers. This work is expected to last throughout the week with daily operations occurring from 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
We appreciate your continued patience as we work to improve the City’s infrastructure. For your safety, please stay alert, watch for traffic control devices, and obey all construction signs and flagging personnel.
