A close call at a reported house fire in Grays Harbor Monday evening. The East Grays Harbor Fire and
Rescue responded just before 5pm with the initial call saying heavy smoke was coming from a bedroom.
When fire fighters arrived, they say there was smoke coming from the front of the house and quickly
found out that the resident had put out the majority of the fire with a dry chemical fire extinguisher.
Fire crews say quick thinking saved the home from further damage. There were no injuries reported by
residents or fire fighters.
