A call about a dog chasing horse in a field leads to a Pacific County Sheriff’s deputy being bitten. On Sunday deputy Alex Bennet was called out of the complaint where one horse had broken free and escaped already. While trying to assist the dog owner put a leash on the Pyrenees dog, the animal bit the deputy on the hand and arm. According to the report, the dog was not aggressive, but rather a one-year-old who had recently been adopted from the pound and not familiar with his new family. Deputy Bennett was treated and released from the hospital and is in good spirits while his wounds heal.
