Grays Harbor investigators were called in as part of the region 3 critical incident investigation team.
The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s office is investigating an in-custody death at the Thurston County Jail. Last Friday afternoon, corrections officers were alerted to an attempted inmate suicide. They rushed to aid the person and transported them to the hospital where they died the next say. Grays Harbor investigators were called in as part of the region 3 critical incident investigation team. Members of the team are interviewing witnesses and going over surveillance footage. The investigation is still ongoing and officials say more information will be released as it becomes available.
