The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department says license plate scanners helped to catch a recent robbery suspect. A press release says last Tuesday morning just after 8am, a masked man forced a car to stop on State Route 12 near porter and that man robbed the victim of cash and cell phone. Deputies say the victim did not know the masked man, but deputies were able to determine the suspect was from the Centralia area. With the help of local Centralia Police and Lewis County Sheriff’s using Flock license plate scanners they were able to identify the suspect. A search of the vehicle found the gun used in the hold up and deputies were able to make an arrest.
