Pacific Seafood – Westport Fined Over $100,000 For Violations

The penalties covering 49 violations carries a fine totaling $123,000.

Pacific Seafood – Westport is being fined over $100,000 for Water quality violations in Grays Harbor.  According to a report from the state department of ecology, from April of 2020, until November of last year, the facility released wastewater with more contaminants than its permit allowed for. Pacific Seafood – Westport shares an outfall into Halfmoon Bay with the city of Westport’s wastewater treatment plant.  The penalties covering 49 violations carries a fine totaling $123,000.  The company now has 30 days to appeal the penalties to the Pollution Control Hearing Board.
