South Aberdeen Man Arrested For Black Powder Bomb In Westport

The WSPs bomb disposal unit was called in to help and during their investigation.

A South Aberdeen man is arrested for setting off a black powder bomb in Westport. The Grays Harbor sheriff’s department says last Wednesday morning before sunrise, a 9-1-1 caller reported hearing a loud noise and later that morning, another call was taken from a man who said his truck had been damaged by a bomb. The Daily World reports the WSPs bomb disposal unit was called in to help and during their investigation The sheriff’s department arrested 46-year-old Ron M Brown who they say threw the device at the truck. He apparently became upset at someone who was involved with a former romantic interest of Brown’s. The investigation is ongoing.
