Weather Allegedly Contributes To Traffic Death In Pacific County

Driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Weather is believed to be a factor in a one car deadly crash in Pacific County Friday afternoon.  State patrol said 43-year-old William Villanueva was passing another vehicle on State Route 6 just before 2pm when he lost control, went off the road and hit a tree.   He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Authorities said although the driver was passing in a passing zone, it was hailing at the time of the incident, and he may have been going too fast for the weather conditions.  Troopers said Villanueva was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
