Aberdeen City Councilman Riley Carter made his first court appearance Wednesday. Carter appeared in Gray’s Harbor Superior Court where apparently, he admitted to charges of first degree rape of a child, At least one city council member had allegedly taken to social media to decry Carter’s actions and state they would seek his removal. Carter was previously arrested in January 2024 for domestic violence-assault.
