Aberdeen Police Issue “Buyer Beware:” Warning After Call At Walmart

The call was dispatched just before 4pm yesterday for suspicious circumstances in thr parking lot.

Aberdeen Police have a “Buyer Beware:” warning after a call at the Walmart on Thursday. The call was dispatched just before 4pm yesterday for suspicious circumstances in thr parking lot. According to a press release, officers were told that people were selling what seemed ot be fake jewelry to possibly unsuspecting customers. When the people were approached by officers, they admitted their jewelry was fake and that they were travelers from out of town. Officers also advised them to stop selling the jewelry at that location and they complied. APD says you should always know what you’re buying, especially when its from a private seller. I you see suspicious activity; you are encouraged to report it to the police department’s non-emergency number at 533-8765.
