Elma Police Arrest Suspect For Hit And Run After A Pursuit

Including reports the person was brandishing a firearm.

Elma police arrest a person for a hit and run after a pursuit yesterday evening. Grays Harbor Scanner reports officers were able to give chase because they had probable cause of an assault, including reports the person was brandishing a firearm.  The officers terminated the pursuit when the suspect went the wrong way on the highway, but reengaged when it was safe to do so again.  The fleeing vehicle crashed, and police were able to take that person into custody. At last check no names had been released, and no word if anyone was injured.
