Father Of Missing Oakley Carlson Given Maximum Sentence

After it was discovered his children had been exposed to methamphetamine

The father of missing 5-year-old Oakley Carlson was given the maximum sentenced allowed by law on Monday for felony endangerment with a controlled substance after it was discovered his children had been exposed to methamphetamine. In handing down the 12 month sentence to Andrew Carlson, the judge noted he was a former police officer and even though he blamed the children’s mother for exposing them to drugs, it was his responsibility as a father to take care of them.  Carlson will also have to attend a drug rehab program once he is released.  That could be as early as August.  The mother, Jordan Bowers faces the same endangerment charges and has pleaded not guilty.  Her trial will begin next month.
