The global supply chain disruption is hitting the local Public Utility District . The Grays Harbor PUD released a statement yesterday concerning disruptions to supply chains and shortages in materials as they relate to utility projects. Officials say strong demand, labor shortages, transportation bottlenecks and raw material constraints are causing concern about being able to meet construction timelines for electrical and fiber optic projects. Equipment such as transformers, that normally had a delivery wait time of 16 weeks can now have wait times of up to 100 weeks. The statement concluded by saying the PUD will continue to work to give you excellent service and be transparent about the issues along the way.
