Hoquiam High School “tagging bottles” To Discourage Adults From Buying Alcohol/Marijuana For Minors

The Hoquiam Grizzly Protection Squad is teaming up with the My TOWN Coalition, Grays Harbor County Public Health Department and local businesses.

This week students with Hoquiam high school will be “tagging bottles” discourage adults from buying alcohol or marijuana for under aged kids.  The Hoquiam Grizzly Protection Squad is teaming up with the My TOWN Coalition, Grays Harbor County Public Health Department and local businesses to place tags on these products on Wednesday as a reminder to help keep youth safe by not providing alcohol or marijuana to children. According to a press release, Statistics show that if the consumption of substances begins after the age of 21 those people are four times less likely to become addicted later in life.  The goal of the “Think Twice” tags is to help make the community a safe environment for kids to as questions about drugs and alcohol.
