There are new details coming out about the 19 hour standoff in Hoquiam last week. Police say after the hostages were able to escape, the 15-year-old barricaded himself on the 2nd floor of the home using debris. Authorities say the incident started when that teen came home and demanded his mother hide him. We also know that the boy was posting videos online during the standoff. He also had a felony juvenile arrest warrant out for making death threats. After the boy surrendered peacefully with the help of negotiators and family members, officers discovered a loaded .45 pistol in the home and the boy had on a bullet proof vest. The history of the handgun is still being investigated.
