More Vote Counting For Aberdeen School Levies

The district’s education and operations levy that was passing by only 15 votes after the first count.

Another round of vote counting helps to cement two Aberdeen levies from last week’s elections. The district’s education and operations levy that was passing by only 15 votes after the first count, had 200 more votes in favor by the 2nd count last week. The $6 million levy will be over the next four years. Meanwhile the Aberdeen School District’s Capital improvement levy also passed with 200 more supporting votes after the 2nd count last week. According to the country auditor’s office, all the school levies in last week’s special election passed and 32 percent of registered voters in the county took part in the special election.
