Section Of Garrard Creek Road Curves Rerouted Into 35-MPH Straightaway

This week crews will be breaking ground on a section of Garrard Creek Road

It’s not the Duke boys of Hazzard County, but crews will be “straightening the curves” in part of rural Southeast Grays Harbor County. This week crews will be breaking ground on a section of Garrard Creek Road to reroute the 20 mph curves into a 35-mph straightaway. The project will build a roadway through a pastor for roughly 5 miles between Brooklyn and Oakville Roads. The work, which is being funded through the state gas tax, will make the drive safer for cars and log trucks that frequent the road. The Project management expects the new road to be complete by the end of September.
