Aberdeen Salvation Army Officially Starts Renovations

The work will consist of building a mezzanine, a walk-in cooler, and adding a full kitchen with appliances.

The Aberdeen Salvation Army has officially started renovations on the G street church. The work will consist of building a mezzanine, a walk-in cooler, and adding a full kitchen with appliances. The beginning of the renovations comes after The Salvation Army sold its building on Wishkah Street to the city last year for $350,000 and has been renting its current space since then. The G Street church remodel should wrap up in July, at which time all operations will move to the new location. The city will use the old Salvation Army building to be the new home of the Aberdeen Museum of History.
