The City of Hoquiam will buy an 11 acre undeveloped property that’s northeast of downtown. In March, the city’s Revitalization Task Force recommended purchasing the land due to its development potential once the levee project is complete in 2027. The city voted to make the deal at this week’s council meeting. The Daily World says the city will pay $250,000 for the land that’s valued at $327,000 in what the property owner called part purchase, part donation.
