Elma Police Department Reminding Residents Of The Importance Of The Police Replacement Levy

The Elma Police Department is reminding residents of the importance of the Police Replacement Levy request that will be on the ballot in the upcoming election.

The Elma Police Department is reminding residents of the importance of the Police Replacement Levy request that will be on the ballot in the upcoming election.  In a post to social media, Elma Police Chief Susan Schultz said the $250,000 levy is vital to keeping the department operating at current levels.  Right now, the city is manned by 5 officers, 2 sergeants, 2 police clerks and the chief and the city expects to respond to 6,000 calls in 2022.  This levy will replace the one set to expire at the end of the year and will not raise your taxes.  Get more information on the Replacement Levy at the Elma Police Department’s Facebook page.
