It's Cold!

Western Washington is bracing for frigid temperatures this week.

Western Washington is bracing for frigid temperatures this week. With lows in the 20s and 30s, organizations are opening cold weather shelters across the region. The Westport Cold Weather Shelter will re-open at 8pm tonight through 7am tomorrow the morning. In Pierce County, Pierce Transit is offering free rides to warming centers until Friday. Public works crews said a few roads were closed off yesterday due to hazardous conditions and they were sanding other roads in anticipation for the coming freeze. WSDOT says many road projects in region have been paused.
