The Army Corps of Engineers says it time to do maintenance dredging for parts of Gray Harbor. That work will consist of two dredge vessels with the first starting work next week on April 12th. The second vessel will start at or around April 21st. The dredging work will continue 24/7 until complete, and once finished about 1 million cubic yards of sand will be removed. About 60 percent of that will be relocated to the South Beach Beneficial Use Site. Crabber and fishermen are aske to stay 300 feet from the navigation channel. All the work should be complete by May 30th.
