The Ocean Shores City Council has voted to add more personnel to the fire department starting next year. The measure agreed to on Monday night allows the department to add two positions in 2023, and two more in 2024. City leaders say this is part of the effort being made to address the growing medical needs of elderly residents. The new positions will increase the crew on duty each shift from 4 to 5. The new positions will also slowly increase household ambulance utility rate to $28 per month.
