Second Wind Farm Project Being Looked At Off Grays Harbor Coast

The project known as the “Cascadia Offshore Wind Project” is estimated to produce enough energy to power 800,000 homes per year.

A second wind farm project is being looked at off the Grays Harbor Coast. A lease request from Hecate
Energy has been made for just over 400 square miles stretching off the coast of Grays Harbor and Pacific
counties. The project known as the “Cascadia Offshore Wind Project” is estimated to produce enough
energy to power 800,000 homes per year. If the project is approved it’s estimated, it would not start
producing electricity until 2029 and it could stay in operati9on for just over 30 years.
