I wasn't sure if it was just because I was getting older -- or if my taste has generally changed -- but apparently, less and less people are wanting "gifts" for the holidays, instead opting for "experiences". I tend to agree with this myself -- my other half and I gave up gifting each other a few years back. Instead, we plan a trip that we both enjoy. Sometimes it's something small -- and other times it's a larger trip that we agree takes up enough money that we don't want to spend anything additional on gifts that either one of us may or may not actually use. Apparently 77% of people -- feel this way -- it's an all-time high!
