They will have to dip into savings to do it.
Grays Harbor County Commissioners approve a $43 million budget for 2024 and will have to dip into savings to do it. On Tuesday, county leaders approved the budget with a projected deficit in revenue of $3.1 million. Using that much from the savings will cut the reserve cash down to just $3 million, which is under the 16 percent mark of the annual budget that the county wants to have in reserve funds. The general tax levy rate was also raised by 1 percent on Tuesday, which will bring in an extra $124,000 next year.
