A reminder that the 10-week closure of the Grass Creek Bridge on state route 109 begins today.

A reminder that the 10-week closure of the Grass Creek Bridge on state route 109 begins today. After an inspection revealed varying degrees of deterioration of support pilings earlier this year, WSDOT officials closed off lanes and reduced the speed limit as a temporary fix. The work that will be complete over the next two and a half months will serve as long term repairs. WSDOT says to plan for a 13 mile detour that will be marked.
