Officials say these upcoming digs have some of the lowest tides of the winter season.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shellfish managers have confirmed seven more days of razor clam digs on coastal beaches beginning later this week, with tentative dates also scheduled through February 1st of next year. Officials say these upcoming digs have some of the lowest tides of the winter season and should provide plenty of opportunity to gather razor clams. Shellfish managers have also received reports of people encountering buried Dungeness crab while digging during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The next round of digging runs December 12th through the 18th.
