One person was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon following a three-car wreck involving a tanker truck in Mason County. State Patrol says around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon on state route101 the heavy-duty truck hit a pickup that was trying to pass it. That caused a chain reaction where the pickup over corrected and hit a third vehicle and the tanker truck went off the road, over an embankment and into Hood Canal. Luckily it was low tide, and although the trooper reported no injuries, the driver of the tanker truck was taken to the hospital a precaution.
