Train Derailment Training Coming To Grays Harbor

The training that is hosted by the Hoquiam fire department.

Training on how to handle a railcar derailment with a hazardous chemical spill is coming to Grays Harbor. The Rail Car Incident Response for flammable liquids training course has been approved by the US Department of Transportation and will be in Aberdeen this November. The training that is hosted by the Hoquiam fire department teaches emergency personnel how to assess a derailment scene, identify the design and markings of tanker cars that carry crude or flammable liquids, and what to do once a spill has been identified. The Free training is open to firefighters and other emergency responders in the region. Find out more on the Hoquiam Fire Department Facebook page.
